Requesting Music for an Event?

If you are on campus and would like to have music provided by WCRR at an event such as a dance, party, or gathering, we’re happy to help. Your DJ/Event Request Form must be submitted at least two Thursdays before the event is to occur. It is preferred and appreciated that all advertisements for the event include the fact that WCRR will be providing music. As of July 15, 2005 all student organizations will receive 2 hours of free DJing per semester. Each additional hour costs $10 USD of non-SAFC money rounded up to the nearest hour. All academic departments will be charged $10 an hour as well. Because our equipment is large and located in Grissom Hall, WCRR needs at least 30 minutes prior to and 30 minutes after the event to set up and take down. This set up and take down time is included in the total length of the event. The sponsoring group is required to pay the amount charged IN FULL no later than 48 hours before the event. If the total amount is not transferred 48 hours before the event, we simply cannot DJ. All monetary transactions must be confirmed with Joanne Green in the Office of Student Life before WCRR can confirm its commitment. Transportation of WCRR’s equipment must be provided by the hiring organization or department if the location of the event is not in the Residence Hall Quad or the SUB. Please place your completed request form in the WCRR mailbox in the Student Life Office. All cancellations must be made no less than 72 hours before an event. Exceptions to these rules will be made on a case by case basis. Once your form has been submitted, we will respond as soon as possible.
